JOHN is the salon owner, holding State Registration qualification. He has over 30 years of experience within the gents’ hairdressing business, gaining many national competition awards over the years. As the successful owner of Cads of Micklegate for some 30 years, John still has a vibrant enthusiasm for the profession.
John uses his wealth of experience to offer advice not only in styling but also on the product needs of clients.
John is a dedicated family man with a passion for golf and will be on the course whenever possible.

MARK has over 32 years of experience in the hairdressing industry, having trained with Toni and Guy after gaining his NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing. Mark worked in a top Leeds Salon for fifteen years before Mark decided to specialise in Gents Hairdressing, training with Simon Shaw at the Wahl Academy. Mark does Regular training course with Wahl to keep up with new skills and new trends coming in.

AMY is the Salon Manager with over seven years of experience and continues to bring a positive and enthusiastic approach to her work. She goes on regular training courses run by American Crew to keep up to date with current trends and learning new skills She is always keen to bring fun to our team whilst working with such details in every style she does.
Amy always aims to allow her customers to have a detailed consultation so that all customers walk away satisfied and feeling their best.
Amy has a wide range of knowledge of the products we stock in the salon, so feel free when you come in to ask any questions and she will advise you on the best product for your hair type and style.

TANIYA is now going into her 10th year as a female barber. Taniya started her career in ladies’ hair in 2008 leading her to men’s hair in 2012 where she qualified as a Barber gaining her NVQ level 2 qualification. She instantly fell in love with the male grooming industry. Taking her career to york, working at Cads of Micklegate in 2015 where she gained John’s high-level experience of barbering from John himself. Taniya has had experience working in one of Leeds’s leading barbers shops.Taniya strongly believes in starting every haircut with a thorough consultation as it is key to a man’s great haircut.

KELLY qualified with NVQ level 2 hairdressing and barbering and now for 12 years experience as a hairdresser. Kelly has been with Cads for 6 years and she is very passionate and dedicated to her work as a barber. Kelly is an amazing asset to the team bringing her witty humour with her every day to work. Whilst already highly trained and experienced she is still keen to continue her training to keep up to date with the latest trends.

TYE is the team’s young gun, and has been with us for 2 years now after doing a year in salon training with an experienced barber. He brings to Cads a young and ambitious mind that is keen to advance his skills. He looks forward to going on to train in more advanced work through training courses to help keep up with current trends. Tye likes to provide a detailed consultation with his clients to achieve the best results. Tye is experienced in Skinfades but can vary he skills with other hairstyles.
